UMass Amherst partners with the Data Management Plan Tool -- or the DMPTool.
Select UMass Amherst as the affiliated organization, and login with your NetID and password.
The DMPTool is a great way to get started when writing your data management plan. It provides guidance for a variety of funders and foundations, asks deeper questions than those provided by funders, and lets you submit your DMP for review by the Data Working Group. You can also see examples from others who have opted to share their DMP, or you can share your own.
The Data Working Group has provided feedback on data management plans since 2011. Email us to get started.
We request two weeks notice ahead of your submission deadline to the Office of Pre-Award Services (OPAS) for full consideration. We will do our best to meet your needs if you request feedback sooner than the two-week period.
See the sub-pages for this page on specific information about the NSF or NIH plan requirements.
