Data requires regular care and maintenance. This ensures your data's future use to you and to others.

  • Assign core duties. Assign duties to your group to streamline expectations and reporting out. 
  • Organize your data. Organize your data in a meaningful way, and select what data will be of use to others in the future. 
  • Use stable file formats. Utilize stable file formats improve the use of your data in the future. 
  • Backup your data regularly. Schedule regular backups of your data to at least two other places.
  • Store your data with confidence. Protect your work from data loss, breaches of confidentiality, or loss of security, especially when working with sensitive information.
