What is Grey LIterature?
"Grey literature (or gray literature) is material and research produced by organizations outside of the traditional commercial or academic publishing and distribution channels. Common grey literature publication types include reports (annual, research, technical, project, etc.), working papers, government documents, white papers and evaluations. Organizations that produce grey literature include government departments and agencies, civil society or non-governmental organizations, academic centres and departments, and private companies and consultants."

US Federal Government Resources
- What Works Clearinghouse (WWC)Find WWC Intervention Reports and Educators Practice Guides that summarize the results of WWC reviews.
Intervention reports are summaries of research findings on a given program, practice, or policy in education. The WWC searches for all research studies on an intervention, reviews each against evidence standards, and summarizes the findings of those that meet standards.
Practice guides present recommendations for educators to address challenges in their classrooms and schools. Education Commission of the States
"In 1967, Education Commission of the States was created after the establishment of the Compact for Education in 1965 that highlighted the need for an organization that connects state policymakers and supports education policymaking. The chair is a governor, and the position alternates between Democratic and Republican every two years. The vice chair is a state legislator who is from the opposite party of the chair."
Information on their site includes enacted and vetoed state legislation by state, education-related proposals from governors’ annual State of the State addresses, and resources for data systems, early care and education, funding, governance, postsecondary affordability, safety, school choice, school readiness, STEM/STEAM, student health and wellness, student learning, the teaching profession and workforce development.
