Guide to Library Research

Getting Started/ Finding Books on Hominids

This is the library research guide for Anthropology 271, Human Evolution. Books are probably your best bet for information on primates, so you'll see how to find them, just below. Also see the tabs above for finding articles, reference books and more, and feel free to contact me for more help.

UMass Amherst Library Catalog lists books in the circulating collection, electronic books, reference books, videos, journals in both print and online form, government documents, microforms, and all other material owned by the Libraries. Circulating books are arranged by call number in the stacks. Search for known items using "Title begins with..." or "Author" (last name, first name). Search for books on a topic using "Subject begins with..."  or "Subject keyword."

Subject Searches for Books on Hominid Groups. As a timesaver, listed here are links to books on the following topics.
