First-Year and Transfer Student Guide

An overview of the UMass Amherst Library System

Welcome and Overview

The UMass Amherst Libraries have so much to offer students. From the physical and online resources, to the equipment we lend, to all of the staff that can help you, and so much more. The possibilities are limitless! But I do understand that it can also be a bit overwhelming.

That is where this guide and I can help! This guide is made with first-years and transfers in mind, but anyone can use it. It is a good place to start to learn about all the amazing resources we have just waiting for you! But still not sure where to start, contact me directly and I will be more than happy to help.

Remember to work smarter, not harder!
