Sushi, ramen, onigiri...yum! This Reading Ladder includes picture books, graded readers, how-to books so you can make your own delicious creations, and more. Use the links to YouTube videos to learn more about Japanese food from Japanology, or watch a film about the best sushi chef in the world. As you progress in Japanese, you can come back and sample the books at the next reading level. Itadakimasu!

This guide is one of several compiled by Eva Olson during her summer 2017 internship in the East Asian Collection. Eva is in the Book Studies concentration at Smith College and studying Japanese.
