Research Rabbit is an AI-enabled research platform built on large bibliographic dataset. As a “citation-based literature mapping tool," it demonstrates the interconnectedness of research and recommends research papers based on what you put into it. Research Rabbit is not generative AI.

What does Research Rabbit do?

  • Citation network visualization
  • Author network visualization
  • Paper recommendations
  • Integration with Zotero
  • Collaboration
  • Alerts

Research Rabbit uses OpenAlex as a data source covering over 250 million scholarly works across disciplines. It's search algorithms are from the NIH and Semantic Scholar.

Get Started

Overview of steps when exploring literature in Research Rabbit:

  1. Create a new collection for your project.
  2. Upload a seed paper or seed papers to the collection. The more targeted your seed papers are the more relevant recommendations you will receive.
  3. Begin exploring recommended papers using by looking at Similar Work, Earlier Work, or Later Work and their network visualizations.
  4. Identify where there are clusters or gaps for further exploration. Pursue additional papers or authors of interest and generate new graphs for those works.
  5. Add relevant (influential/seminal/central) papers to your core collection.
  6. Download images of your citation network graphs. Export your collection to Zotero.
