  • Historical Abstracts
    Citations and abstracts for journal articles, books and dissertations on world history from 1450 to present. Coverage from 1954-present.
  • Kanopy Films
    Streaming video of films on many aspects of literature.
  • MLA International Bibliography
    An index to journal articles and other scholarly literature on literature, literary theory and criticism, and linguistics. Coverage from 1920’s-present.
  • PAIS International
    Public and social policy literature in political science, international relations, social sciences. Articles, government documents, reports, 1915-present.

ONLINE REFERENCE SOURCES

  • EIU Country Reports Online
    The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) provides forecasting and advisory services such as monthly country reports, five-year country economic forecasts, country risk service reports, and industry reports.
  • Encyclopedia of Russian History
    1,500 entries by experts on all aspects of Russian history, including important biographical figures, geographical areas, ethnographic groups, cultural landmarks, military campaigns, and social issues. (not sure if this is an online resource or a book - that's the book description.)
  • Europa World Year Book
    Economic, political and geographic background information and statistical data by country, with directory contact details and a comprehensive listing of more than 2,000 international organizations. (this describes Europa World Plus, the online resource from Routlege.)
  • Literature Resource Center
    Full-text articles from scholarly journals and literary magazines are combined with critical essays, work and topic overviews, full-text works, biographies, and more to provide a wealth of information on authors, their works, and literary movements.

    The Federation of East European Family History Societies maintains a small digitized collection of historical maps of Central and Eastern Europe.

    Designed to help users identify high quality web content that is located in or focuses on the region stretching from Bohemia to Central Asia.
  • Russian Philosophy on the Intelnet
    Contains introductory information on 19th and 20th century Russian philosophy.
  • Inkternational News Link
    Links to newspapers and news sources from all over the world. Includes a large number of Eastern European sources. Some have an option to be viewed in English.
  • Russia Religion News
    Searchable online database of selected translated articles on religion in the former Soviet Union from 1996 to the present.
  • EurasiaNet
    Information and analysis about political, economic, environmental and social developments in Central Asia and the Caucasus, Russia, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia.
  • Russian Painting
    Rollins College's website devoted to the history of Russian painting. Covers early iconography to contemporary art.
