Scholarship Information

Students, early career librarians and support staff!!

The New England Science Boot Camp for Librarians Planning Committee is offering multiple Fellow Scholarships for library school students, early career librarians and support staff to attend the 2018 New England Science Boot Camp for Librarians. The scholarship will cover full registration (including food and lodging), and is intended for those interested in learning about science or engineering librarianship. Lodging for the night prior to the first day of Science Boot Camp is also available through the scholarship.

 

The scholarship covers the registration and includes food and lodging only; travel and other expenses will be borne by the Fellow.

 

Your application should include:

  • current resume
  • letter of intent
  • Students: a letter of recommendation from one of your library school instructors
  • Early career librarians and staff: a letter of recommendation from your supervisor including commitment confirmation to attend Science Boot Camp

 

Send materials by April 30, 2018 to Barbara Merolli at bmerolli@holycross.edu.

Notification of scholarship awards will be made by May 14, 2018.

Fellows will meet (either virtually or in person) with their mentors before, during and after the Science Boot Camp. The recipient will submit a document about their experience for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine - New England Region (NNLM-NER) blog.
