Using library databases

Goal: Search for information using a basic UMass Library database

  • Go to the Library's homepage.
  • Click on Databases
  • Under [insert subject/topic here], select [insert title of database here].
  • Type in a word or phrase which is relevant to the lecture (e.g. insert possible search terms here)
  • Select an item related to this classroom lecture
  • Read through the full text

Post to the group:

  • The search term you used
  • The title of the item, the source and the document type.
  • A quote from the item you selected.
  • A question based on the item you selected, as it relates to the [insert lecture/topic and/or date here].
