Goal: Find background information using a subscription-based encyclopedia
- Go to the Library's homepage.
- Click on Databases
- At the bottom of the page, click on Dictionaries & Encyclopedias
- Select Gale Virtual Reference Library (a collection of several hundred current subject encyclopedias).
- At the top of the screen, type "insert keyword here" (include quotes)
- Select one entry and read the contents.
Post to the group:
- The title of the entry you read
- The encyclopedia in which it was published.
- A relevant quote from the entry.
- A question based on the entry that also relates to [insert lecture/topic and/or date here].
