- Library of American Landscape HistoryNonprofit organization that produces books written by leading historians in the field. Exhibitions about North American landscape history reach large and diverse audiences in museums, galleries and botanical gardens across the nation.
Both LALH books and exhibitions are intended to educate and thereby encourage thoughtful stewardship of the land. - Nasami Farm, WhatelyPromotes the conservation of temperate North American flora through education, research, horticulture, habitat preservation, and advocacy. Offers year round workshops.
- New England Small Farm Institute, BelchertownExtensive borrowing library featuring books on soil fertility, composting, weed management and more.
- Soil and plant tissue testing laboratory, UMass AmherstTheir function is to provide test results and recommendations that lead to the wise and economical use of soils and soil amendments. Testing services are available to all.
- Hampshire College Farm CenterThe Hampshire College Farm Center is a working farm and thriving educational center, providing agricultural programs for the College, local community members, and school groups.
