The links below lead to PowerPoint presentations on searching the catalog, an explanation of what a "refereed" or 'scholarly" article is, using WorldCat, etc.

PowerPoint presentations will take a few seconds to load--they will open as slide shows.

Welcome to the library course guide page for History 593S: The Spanish Civil War

This guide is intended to help you in your class work. This course is multi-disciplinary, and encompasses many different types of academic and popular discourse.

In the database pages, I have suggested both general and history-specific databases which may have articles relating to your research. It is not, of course, exhaustive.

The best way of getting to databases in any specific discipline is to use the Research Databases Guide. The Spanish Civil War was a conflict with cultural as well as political consequences. It had a strong impact on the art and literature of the time. The library has subject database pages on both.

If you'd like an individual research consultation on your paper topic, please contact me and we'll set up a time to meet.
