Libraries' Map Collection
The UMass Libraries Map Collection houses over 120,000 printed maps, charts, plans, aerial views, atlases, and other cartographic renderings depicting the universe, the world, the oceans, continents, countries, all of the United States and major cities. Thematic maps include environmental and geosciences, land use, human and cultural geography, biogeography, economy, political boundaries, mines and mineral resources, recreation areas, travel and transportation, history, and many others. Maps of Massachusetts and its communities are emphasized.

Massachusetts State Geologist map sources - The most up-to-date source for Massachusetts maps online and information about them.
USGS Maps and Aerial Photography - Not always eay to use or navigate, but very comprehensive.
USGS National Geologic Map Database
MassGIS - Any and everything spatial about Massachusetts.
World Wind - Lets you zoom from satellite altitude into any place on Earth. Uses Landsat satellite imagery and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission data. Requires downloading and installing software.
Print guidebooks and maps
New England Intercollegiate Geological Conference Guidebooks
Search the Library Catalog for maps and guidebooks. Using the "Subject Keywords" search from the dropdown box on the left, enter maps geology [region of interest]. For example: maps geology massachusetts. Use the same strategy for finding guidebooks: guidebooks geology [region of interest].
