The suffix at the end of a website name is called the "top-level" domain name or TLD. It is tells you something about the website-- it may be a commercial site (.com), a government-sponsored site(.gov), created by a private agency or organization (.org), or perhaps the country in which the website is hosted. Here is a list of top-level domain names and a list of country domain names that you might find helpful.
To help you evaluate websites, here's a checklist from the UC Berkeley Libraries. Try an exercise using the checklist with the RYT Hospital website.
