GUIDE TO DISSERTATIONS IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES

                The library provides access to two dissertation databases from publisher Proquest: 1) Proquest Dissertations & Theses - a comprehensive index to U.S./Canadian dissertations in all fields, 1637 to present; and 2) Dissertations & Theses @ UMass - the full-text of all graduate dissertation completed at UMass from 1997 to present.

     Locate circulating copies of UMass dissertations in the Library Catalog. Search by author, title or subject.
   
Non-circulating copies and senior honors theses are located in the Special Collections & Archives, Floor 25.
   
Microfilm copies of UMass dissertations are available in the Microforms Department, Floor 3.
   
To request dissertations from other universities, submit an Interlibrary Loan request.
