Science Boot Camp

If you are new to science research, or even if you are an old hand, but want to learn about the latest research tools in Biology, Geographic Information Systems, and Nanotechnology, please join your colleagues for a two-and-a-half day camp for librarians.

Fees

Full Registration  (Includes 2 nights lodging, all meals, 3 days instruction)

Commuter Registration  (Includes 3 days instruction, breaks and lunch, no dinner or lodging)

One-Day Registration  (Includes one day instruction, breaks and lunch, no dinner or lodging)

If you will be covered by money transferred by a library director or dean, please register online and in the comments box write that your payment is coming from "Director" or "Dean" followed by the name.

In the comments box  write the names of those you would like to share the residence apartment with.  There is also a box to check off if you are bringing your car to campus and need a parking permit.  Please let us know if you have any food restrictions or other access restrictions.

THE DORM

Evergreen, one of the newest dorms at UMass Dartmouth will house Boot Campers.

  • Each unit has 4 single rooms and includes a livingroom, kitchen and 2 bathrooms.
  • Fully furnished with a double bed, desk, chair, and built-in closets.
  • The common space has a television stand, couch, chair, and tables.
  • The kitchen has a ceramic-top stove, refrigerator/freezer, cabinets, 4 barstool chairs, as well as an eating alcove.

They are a short walk from the instruction venue

THE CAMPUS
There are great paths for jogging and walking.
