Here are some sources you can use for background information and reliable websites:
- Encyclopedias in the LibraryUMass Amherst Libraries has several different encyclopedias that give brief overviews on various topics.
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)The CDC publishes reports and data online about various health issues.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)The NIH also provides reports about health issues.
- New York Times - Health sectionCreate an account using the directions linked below, then you can browse the Health section.
