Find Federal Cases by Citation
- Westlaw Campus Research Click on the "Law" tab and under "Shortcuts" in the left hand column, enter the citation, e.g. 347 U.S. 483, in the top box under "Find" and click the blue "Go" button.
Find Federal Cases by Subject
One of the best ways to seach for federal cases is to locate recent law review articles. For a database list and instructions, click on the Law Reviews tab above.
If you want to search for federal cases by subject directly, follow the instructions below.
- Westlaw Campus Research Click on "Law" tab, "Basic Search" tab and enter terms that describe the subject of the cases you are seeking. Under "Cases" click on "All Federal Cases" and the blue "Search" button

- Westlaw Campus Research Click on the "Law" tab and under "Shortcuts" in the left hand column, enter the plaintiff and defendent in the bottom boxes under "Find" and click the blue "Go" button.
