JSTOR is a full-text database of scholarly journals written in Western languages. It includes many of the most heavily used journals in Chinese studies such as Harvard Journal of Asiatic Studies (1936-), Journal of the American Oriental Society (1843-), Monumenta Serica (1935-), Transactions of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland (1824-), T'oung Pao (1890-) etc.
This is an excellent database for research in the Humanities - literature, theater, and film studies. It includes some full-text, and then you should use UMLinks to see if we have copies of the other citations you are interested in.
We have Full-text access only to the section that we subscribe to: Literature/History/Philosophy and for the years 1994-present. You can see tables of contents for the journals on the same website. Use the citations to request the articles through interlibrary loan. Search using either simplified Chinese or English but be warned that the results using English won't be as good. Smith College's subscription includes more areas than ours, so please go to Smith if you are doing research in political science, economics, or management.
